When to Trek
The best time of the year to trek is mid-March to mid-May and mid-September to November. Between mid-June and mid-September is the rainy season and trekking becomes difficult. There are also some treks that are best suited for Winter or Summer. No matter what time of year you come, there is a trek for you!
Trek Guides
On each trek there will be a guide, a cook, and a horseman or yak herder. Luckily on trekking trips, all of the equipment and food will be carried by pack animals. The guide will lead you across the passes while the horseman and the cook will go ahead to set up camp for the night. They will prepare the meals, set up tents, and get the area ready for trekkers. When you arrive to the campsite, there will be tea and biscuits waiting for you and dinner will be a delicious buffet.
