When to Visit
The best time to visit Bhutan is Spring (March-May) and Autumn (September-November). These are the times of year when the weather is the nicest and there are the most festivals and activities. Springtime is when the flowers and plants are at their peak and it is a great time of year for photographs. Winter can be very cold, but it is a great time to get a view of the mountains. Summer is very rainy, but is a photographers dream because of all the rich forests and plant life. Please make sure you book your travel at least 8 weeks in advance, particularly if you plan to come during a festival, because it can be particularly difficult to confirm hotels during this time.
