What is the weather like in Bhutan?

Weather in Bhutan varies greatly by season. Spring (March-May) and Autumn (Mid-August-October) are warm, with temperatures between 12 and 25 degrees Celsius (53-77 degrees Fahrenheit). Summer (June-Mid-August) is the rainy season with temperatures between 15 and 27 degrees Celsius (59 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit). Winter (November-February) is cold with temperatures between -5 and 16 degrees celsius (23 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit).

When is the best time to travel to Bhutan?

There are always great things to do in Bhutan no matter what time of the year you go! Spring and Fall are great for nature lovers. Summer, though rainy, is also great for those who love nature because the foliage is in full bloom and is beautiful. Winter is a great time to do some trekking and visit the cultural sites.

How far in advance do I need to book the trip?

We recommend that you book your trip at least 6 weeks in advance. If you will be traveling during a festival, we recommend that you book 8 weeks in advance because these spots fill up quickly. Bhutan tourism philosophy is quality over quantity and spaces are limited!
